Bukittinggi is the name of a city located in the northern province of west Sumatra. Two Words are assembled into one, has a meaning identical to its location at the height of the hills. located in the middle of the island of Sumatra with a physically vallley hilly, and the air cool and comfortable.

Bukittinggi is also known as the City of Dahlias and The Dream Land Of Sumatara. Bukittinggi has a height of 904 -941 meters above sea level, make the air feels cool. Temperature reaches about 16-23 degrees centigrade. Contours of the land in this town is hilly, there are around 27 hillscontained within the towm Bukittinggi, If travelling by car it will not feel bored.

Bukittinggi in West Sumatra is a cultural center. Unlike the Padang which is the center of the wheels of government and modern commerce, Bukittinggi is a quiet city decorated by nature a truly panoramic view like no other. A very famous valley is Sianok canyon with a depth of 100 M and the slopebetween 800 - 900 is one of the attractions the city of Bukittinggi serve as a tourist city. Majesty of Mount Merapi,Mount Singgalang and, of Mount Sago too adorn this beautiful city.

Bukittinggi has many main attraction.......The famous one is Sianok Canyon. Many tourist prefer to visit this canyon because it's natural panoramic view.

Fort De Kock

Fort de Kock was founded in 1825 by Captain Bauer at the Mount Jirek Affairs, Bukit Tinggi. Until today, Fort Fort de Kock is still a proud witness of the Dutch colonial rule at that time to the Minangkabau and swagger still remains implicit in the 20-meter-high building with white paint and green colors of this.
